Air-roasted coffee designed for clarity, consistency, and quality

We roast our coffee using an air roaster, a system that uses hot air instead of a traditional drum. This method allows the beans to roast evenly without coming into contact with metal, resulting in a cleaner, smoother cup that highlights the true character of the coffee.

Air roasting also gives us more control over each roast, helping us stay consistent from batch to batch while reducing smoke and emissions. It’s a more sustainable approach that aligns with our values and our commitment to quality.

We chose this roaster intentionally. It supports the way we want to roast, the way we want our coffee to taste, and the standards we want to uphold for our customers and our community.

Rooted in relationships

Where Our Coffee Begins

The heart of our coffee starts long before it reaches the roaster. We work closely with farms and importers who share our values of transparency, sustainability, and care for people at every step of the process. These partnerships aren’t just about sourcing great coffee. They’re about supporting families, preserving traditions, and investing in communities that make this work possible.

By building direct, long-term relationships with the farms we partner with, we’re able to roast coffee we trust and proudly stand behind. Every bean we source has a story, and honoring that story matters to us.

    Honduras & Beyond

De La Finca Coffee Importers was founded in 2016 by Nelson Amador, a fifth-generation coffee farmer with deep roots in Honduras. Built on more than 100 years of family tradition, De La Finca began as a way to support Nelson’s family and other small producers while honoring the legacy of those who came before him.

At the heart of De La Finca is direct trade. By working closely with farmers, they ensure producers are paid fairly and able to continue growing high-quality, certified fair trade and organic coffee.

This approach not only supports farmers financially, but also preserves the craftsmanship and care that goes into every harvest.

Beyond sourcing, De La Finca is deeply invested in the communities they work with. Through long-term school projects and sustainability initiatives, they focus on creating opportunities that support future generations and strengthen local communities.

When Nelson came to the United States to learn English, he noticed how disconnected coffee often was from its origin. He learned that coffee typically passed through six to eight hands before reaching the consumer.

De La Finca was created to close that gap, making it easier to enjoy great coffee while ensuring more of the value goes back to the farmers who work so hard to produce it.

Today, De La Finca imports organic coffee from Honduras as well as regions across Asia, Africa, North America, and South America, always with the same commitment to transparency, quality, and respect for origin.

    Guatamala

Two Birds Coffee is a family-owned business rooted in Guatemala, founded by farmer and owner Ana Vizcaíno. What began as a commitment to quality coffee has grown into a larger mission focused on sustainability, community, and creating opportunities for women within the coffee industry.

Ana has led the way in adopting 100% organic and sustainable farming practices, influencing other farms throughout the region to do the same.

As Two Birds Coffee expanded its reach, exporting beans to the United States, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, it also became a strong advocate for women-run roasting and coffee businesses.

Beyond farming, Two Birds Coffee is deeply invested in the lives of women and girls in Guatemala. Ana has dedicated her work to helping young women become financially and emotionally independent by providing access to education, transportation, job skills, and professional development.

From helping cover school supplies and driving lessons to supporting higher education and career placement, her efforts have created real, lasting change.

Today, women supported through Two Birds Coffee have gone on to become engineers, nurses, accountants, quality control specialists, and leaders within the coffee industry.

These opportunities are built on the belief that when women are supported early, they’re better equipped to succeed in whatever path they choose.

This partnership reflects what we believe coffee can be when care and intention lead the way.

How our partnership with Two Birds supports women and girls in Guatemala

Impact Beyond The Cup

At Two Birds Coffee, every bag we purchase directly supports the lives of women and girls in Guatemala. Through our partnership, Ana is able to continue investing in programs that help young women become financially and emotionally independent.

Her work focuses on access. Education, transportation, job skills, and professional development that open real doors. From covering school supplies and driving lessons to supporting higher education and career placement, these efforts create lasting opportunities that extend far beyond the coffee itself.

This is the kind of impact we believe in. Every bag you purchase helps make this work possible.
