Hey y’all, I’m Deb.
I’m originally from New York, but North Carolina has been home since 2014, when my husband joined the Marine Corps. Along the way, we’ve lived a few different lives in places like Allentown, Philadelphia, and Puerto Rico before finally settling in Raleigh.
These days, you’ll usually find me roasting coffee, spending time with my little family, working on my yoga practice, or serving coffee at our local church. Community has always mattered to me, and coffee has a funny way of bringing people together in the spaces that matter most.
My earliest memory of coffee goes back to visiting my grandparents in Puerto Rico. No matter how late our flight arrived, we were always welcomed with warm buttered bread and a cup of coffee. That feeling of comfort, care, and connection stayed with me.
Coffee has been a constant through every season of my life — most memorably when my daughter was born at 26 weeks and spent time in the NICU. Part of her daily care included caffeine to help treat apnea of prematurity. She’s been full of energy ever since, and I like to think coffee had something to do with it.
